Musculoskeletal Radiology

Musculoskeletal imaging is used to help in the diagnosis of arthritis (degenerative or inflammatory), ligament and tendon injury, infection of the bone and joint, as well as evaluation for extremity neoplasm (cancer). Commonly used methods of imaging include x-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Specialists in this field can perform joint injections/aspirations and also biopsies of masses in the extremity areas.
